Am I required to sign up for the Rider Education Levels as part of my membership? PDF Print E-mail
Sunday, 25 January 2009 22:16

NO! You do not have to sign up for anything. This is not required as a condition of your membership. However, most of us feel that this is an enhancement to your experience of riding a Goldwing. Rider Education is just that, Education. GWRRA is in the position of encouraging safe riding habits, but you are not required to join the Rider Education Program.

What does MED stand for? PDF Print E-mail
MED stands for Membership Enhancement Division. There are many activities come from this division. Did you receive a greeting for your birthday? Anniversary? Our MEDs coordinators usually handle these important days. They are also there in your time of need due to illness or death in the family. MEDs are also responsible for setting up activities, such as a mini golf outing, a dinner ride, parties, or other social type activity.

Chapter FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) PDF Print E-mail

Do I have to join a Chapter?

No, first things first!  You do not "join" a Chapter.  You participate "WITH" a Chapter!

Since you have paid your membership fees to the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (which is International), you are free to enjoy as many and whatever benefits this Association offers that works for you!  Some people only join for the Towbusters program, the magazine, or because their friends are already members.  But please consider what Chapter life can offer you, you may find it fits you pretty well.  But we realize that Chapter life is not for everyone, so feel free to join in as you can.

Which Chapter do I belong?

You are a member of all Chapters, not only in this state, but worldwide!  Please feel free to join in with any Chapter activity that works for you.

District FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions) PDF Print E-mail

What is a District?

The State of Wisconsin is a "District" that forms part of the organization of Gold Wing Road Riders Association. With the International reach of GWRRA, there are several Regions, which are broken down into District units, based upon each state in the Region. Wisconsin is a District in Region E. So participants living in the State of Wisconsin are considered to be part of the Wisconsin District.

Is the District further broken down into smaller groups?

Yes. The Wisconsin District is currently divided into 18 smaller groups, known as Chapters. Please consult the Chapter Map to locate the home city of a Chapter near you. Please understand, you are members of all chapters nationwide and may participate in any event they may have. However, most participants have a home chapter that they participate with for most of their events. Feel free to contact any Chapter Director or consult your Tour Book for a listing of upcoming events.
