Hi Fellow Gold Wingers,

Happy September everyone!!!  I can’t believe it’s September.  Where did summer go?  It was surely a wet and humid, hot summer.  This monthly article will be short and sweet as we are in the process of changing Chapter Director responsibilities over which should be finalized soon.

Chapter O still has two more ice cream rides for this month; one on Tuesday, September 7, meeting at the BP Station in West Salem, at 6:30 p.m. and the second and final ice cream ride for the year, on Tuesday, September 21, meeting at Country Kitchen in Sparta, departing at 6:30 p.m.  Thanks to Vern Bagstad, Marc Flock, and Will Lang for assisting me in leading the ice cream rides this year.  Because of being on third shift all summer, I have not been able to participate or conduct any of these ice cream rides, so if it wasn’t for Marc, Vern, and Will, there probably would have been no ice cream rides this summer.

Chapter O will not be having a fundraiser in September, as we had two successful brat fries at Festival Foods to raise funds for our Chapter, so please remove those plans from your calendars.  As for our monthly social, that will be up to the new Chapter Director and what he plans.  An e-mail will be sent out to the members, once the plans have been finalized.  Typically we have a social on the third Saturday of the month, so that would be September 18, more to come.
